How will the new temperature requirements apply to the replacement of an existing domestic water heater when no other work is proposed?
The replacement of a domestic water heater constitues a material alteration to the plumbing system. Therfore, the installation must be carried out to ensure that the temperature of the hot water at the exsisting taps does not exceed 49 degrees celsius.(120 degrees fahrenheit)

What can I do if the humidity level is running higher than 35% in my home?
Relax. You only need to keep your relative humidity level down to around 35% if you want to keep excessive amounts of moisture from forming on your windows in the real cold months (-20F). This level is not comfortable for the human body. We should have relative humidity levels around 45 to 55 % to be comfortable. So you will have to adjust to a level that best suits your family.

What type of humidifier should we purchase?
We definitely recommend a flow-through type. The key reason is in a flow-through, there is no water storage in the bottom of this unit, making it more healthy for your family (no bacteria in the water storage). There is one draw back, however. It uses a lot of water. You must ensure you have a good working drain. The hole drill in your floor for the air conditioner is not good enough.

How often do I need to change or clean my furnace filter?

In most cases, twice a heating season and twice a cooling season. More if a lot of construction is going on in your area.

Do I need maintenance on my furnace every year?
Yes. Especially with a high-efficiency unit. You should always maintain this equipment in peak operating condition. Did you know most manufacturers recommend that you maintain your furnace a minimum of once a year? If you fail to do this, you may void the warranty on the unit.
